Merthi hills in Karnataka at 1,630 ft is the second highest peak in the state and rich in heritage, and bio-diversity. The Merthikan Estate of Tata Coffee is nestling in the foothills of the Merthi Hills surrounded by “Agumbe”, which receives the highest rain in Karnataka and “Kudremukh” a scenic hill station. The hills are also home to the famous Sringeripeeta by Adi Shankara, a revered saint in the 8th century, the Horanadu Annapoorneswari Temple and the Kaleswara temple. It is in this rich land that the Tata Coffee estate thrives with the rivulets that run through the Merthi Hills to join the majestic Bhadra river. The hilly wet regions of the estate support the growth of tea as well as coffee. Merthikhan is a one of a kind estate where Coffee, Tea and Pepper are cultivated.

The beans have been roasted more than they should be giving it a burned taste and smell too. Mylemoney black honey high elevation dark roast french press is far better in terms of aroma and taste both. This one is a total waste of money. A high elevation coffee (1617 m) tastes worse than a 1100 m elevation coffee (mylemoney black honey high elevation) in the same brand and same roast clearly, it is definitely not what it claims, something has definitely gone wrong with this batch of coffee which i have received. Definitely not gonna buy it again. Had really high expectations from TATA coffee but this specific product has been really disappointing. I have been a loyal customer of TATA products since decades and I'm an ex-TATA employee, please take this review seriously, the quality of your products are degrading with time.
